About 20 of us gathered on the morning of February 11th then headed over to Planet Granite in Santa Clara. We got there a few minutes before it opened so we where first in line to get our climbing gear. After a short time in the practice area, the instructors took us over to the climbing walls where we took turns on the various types of walls. One thing we learned was to use our legs! The most common mistakle people make is to try to pull themselves up by their arms only. It's better to grab someting closer then push yourself up with your legs. After almost two hours people were getting tired. The morning was highlighted by racing up the speed wall, where Andrew S. easily beat Mr. Duprey! A trip to Round Table for pizza came after this. Everyone enjoyed the trip.
