sites for tents or RVs up to 30 feet long. Piped water (summer only), vault
toilets, fire grills, and picnic tables are provided. Pets are permitted.
Reservations, fees: No reservations; $10-$12 per night, $1 pet
fee. Open year-round.

Directions: From Cloverdale on U.S. 101, turn north on Highway
128 and drive 49 miles. Look for the signed campground entrance on the
left side of the road.
Weather, clothing: Unlike coastal parks, summers may be very
warm.
Trip notes: Paul M. Dimmick Campground: A pretty grove
of redwood trees and the nearby Navarro River are the highlights of this
campground. It's a nice spot but, alas, lacks any significant hiking trails
that could make it an overall spectacular destination; all the trailheads
along Highway 128 turn out to be just little spur routes from the road
to the river.
