Trip notes: Folsom Lake is Sacramento's backyard vacation spot,
a huge lake covering some 12,000 acres with 75 miles of shoreline, which
means plenty of room for boating, waterskiing, fishing, and suntanning.
The lake has a productive trout fishery in the spring, a fast-growing population
of kokanee salmon, and good prospects for bass in late spring and early
summer. By summer, water-skiers usually take over the lake each day by
about 10 A.M.
