Campsites, facilities: There are 500+ acres of rolling
hills, meadows, and several miles road/trails for your use. There
are 4 large campsites available. Fire rings, picnic tables, piped
water, and flush toilets are available. Showers are available
in the Activity Center. An archery range, bb-gun range, Scoutcraft
area, dining area, campfire circle, etc. are available. Some
of these facilities might be available for use during the year-round
operation. Pets are discouraged.
Reservations, fees: Reservations are required and made
through the Santa Clara County Council, Boy Scouts of America.
Fees vary depending on the program - year-round use or summer
camp program. Call Council Service Center for information.

Directions: From Saratoga, drive south on Highway 9,
two miles south of the Highway 9/35 intersection, the entrance
to camp is on the right across from Sempervirens Point (watch
for the Chesebrough Scout Reservation sign on the right just
before camp).
Weather, clothing: The weather can be changeable; layered
clothing is recommended. Rain can be heavy during the winter.
Fog is always possible year round.
Trip notes: Chesebrough Scout Reservation is situated
in the Santa Cruz mountains. A variety of programs are run throughout
the year from leader training to Order of the Arrow events. Scouting
units are encouraged to use camp for a nearby outing or unit
training. Wood and charcoal fires, and propane stoves are permitted.
Oil Creek is a good hike down the canyon in the lower reaches
of camp. Piped water is not available at this site.
During the summer, limited Cub Scout programs and activities
are offered. The annual leaders' manual is published for all
interested Cub Scout packs which wish to attend camp and provides
all information needed for your unit to attend camp.
