Boy Scout Troop 325 Scoutmaster Minute

Tonight we welcomed 8 new scouts from Pack 333 into the troop.
Over the next 7 years we will get to know each other very well.
If the troop records hold true most of you will make First Class in the first couple of years
Some of you will make Star in 2-3 years
Some of you will make Life in 3-4 years
And some of you will make Eagle in 4-5 years
At 11 years old, 4-5 years of consistent work sounds like a lifetime, and for you it is half of your life.
Consider though, as I look back at the 4 years I spend in college it seems very short
Talking to my dad today, who is 93 years old-he told me that 4-5 years is but a moment in time. He can barely remember living on a ranch as a child for 4 years.
Enjoy your time in scouting, make the most of it and take advantage of all the program has to offer.
