Boy Scout Troop 325 Scoutmaster Minute

Summer's End

Aug 31, 2010
Andy Duprey, Scoutmaster

Please be seated.

Well the days are shortening and will be getting cooler soon. Last week was our last Tuesday at Moreland woods-a sure harbinger of Autumn.

Let's review this summer, before it fades to memory and pictures:

Please, scouts and adults, stand quietly as an event that you participated in is mentioned-Please remain standing until the end.

Moreland Woods Clean up

Trail to First Class-Camp Cheesebrough,

Mt Madonna Campout

Sunset Beach Campout and Kayaking

Prince of Peace Service Project

Waterski Day Trip

Camp Oljato-Summer Camp

Spicer Res Canoe Campout

Trail to First Class-Mt Madonna

Thank you-Please remain standing.

As you know 80% of Scouting is 'outing', and, as you can tell by the number of adults and scouts standing, we take participation in outings very seriously. By participating in the scouting program the scout has the opportunity to learn skills and to advance in rank

As we look forward to the Fall, and next year's Spring and Summer outings and activities, I challenge each of you, standing or not, to try something new, something you have not done before, or take something to the next level.

Annual planning will begin the second Tuesday in September. Please be willing, both scouts and adults, to step up to the plate, find your passion and help the troop plan a great year of outings and activities.

Congratulations to each of you

Thank you and good night scouts.
